Dr. Mora is board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM). He was certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. He learned acupuncture from Dr. Joe Helms at UCLA, prolotherapy at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine from Dr. Jeff Patterson, and neural prolotherapy from Dr. John Lyftogt. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association of Prolotherapy Regenerative Medicine.
Dr. Mora integrates conventional and alternative therapies, treating illness by looking at the Whole person, and not just the disease. . He looks for underlying causes of illness such as allergies, infections, intestinal imbalances, suboptimal hormone levels, sleep problems, dietary factors, toxins, and stress.
Will Mora studied biology at U.C., San Diego. He was a Peace Corp volunteer in South America. He received his M.D. degree at U.C., Davis. He completed his Family Medicine residency at a U.C., San Francisco program. He worked for one year with Mozambican refugees at a hospital in Africa. He volunteered on 2 occasions with the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation in Honduras on a prolotherapy team.
Dr. Mora worked with Sutter Health for many years before transitioning to a purely integrative holistic functional medicine practice at Health Associates Medical Group in Sacramento. The group includes Dr. Michael Kwiker, D.O., Kirk Hamilton, P.A.-C., Wendy Pomerantz, P.A.-C. and Taras Lumiere, D.C.
Dr. Mora's passion is regenerative medicine. He uses ultrasound to guide regenerative medicine injections: prolotherapy, PRP, bone marrow stem cells and LipoGems helping many people avoid surgery for shoulder and knee pain. Bio-identical hormones often boost the effectiveness of regenerative injections.
Dr. Mora practices what he preaches. He follows an ancestral low-glycemic Rainbow diet. He stays fit by mountain biking, kayaking and hiking.
